Les Brown and His Band of Renown — Goes Direct to Disc

For this project, I was tasked with recreating the 1977 album "Les Brown and His Band of Renown Goes Direct To Disc". This Big Band is known for their American jazz original compositions and covers of classics. Lester Raymond Brown led this band for nearly seven decades from 1938 to 2000.
Black & White
Color
I created two similar, but different, designs for the remake. The first one is all black and white, made with just shape and type. Whereas the second design is in color and uses photographs. Using the common elements of a trumpet and type, these designs are meant to show the genre of jazz and the 1970s design era.
